چکیده
Rheological characteristics of soils, including their deformation and flow behaviors when subjected to external stress, can provide important information on microstructural stability. In this study we used rheological measurements examine the soil aggregate microstructure stability four different orders – Alfisol, Mollisol, Inceptisol, Entisol along a forested catena in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran. Amplitude sweep tests were quantify initial values storage loss moduli, limit (when material begins transition from reversible irreversible deformation), at point becomes viscous), integral z (which summarizes overall visco-elasticity material). The was significantly higher subsoil layers than topsoil layers, also Mollisol other pedons. values, which relate structural stiffness matrices, largest Btg horizons Alfisol implying that these soils had more rigid microstructures. contrast, Ckg horizon, high sand content little development, lowest for all properties, thus indicating lack micro-aggregate Regression analyses revealed influenced by physicochemical whose clay fraction dominated expansive minerals pedogenic iron aluminum sesquioxides. Altogether, parameters indicated older, developed greater less counterparts. As result, may be useful identifying major factors affect aggregation, indicate relative amount development gradients such as studied forest catena.

Due to unsuitable soil physical conditions, calcareous soils, and the existence of a huge amount of sulfur in the country, the study of sulfur effects on the soil structure and other soil properties is necessary. Therefore, the effects of different rates of sulfur including: 0, 750, 1500 and 3000 kg/ha, when accompanied by Halothiobacillus neapolitanus bacteria, on the soil properties in the co...

EVALUATION OF NONTRADITIONAL SOIL AND AGGREGATE STABILIZERS: A SUMMARY Introduction Proprietary chemical products are marketed by a number of companies for stabilizing pavement base and subgrade soils. Usually supplied as concentrated liquids, these products are diluted in water on the project site and sprayed on the soil to be treated prior to mixing and compaction. If effective, these product...
